is the engine mount in the way of the exhaust or is it the side wall of the engine bay? now that i look at it, it could possibly even be the frame rail. theres clearly going to have to be a custom header made and probably some manipulation of the bay itself...have you thought about how youre going to approach it?

i'll let everyne know when the bits i don't need are available.
O.T.
a custom header will be the only way. there is easily enough clearence between the body and the chassis. it's the going under the chassis to the rear will be most awkward. especially as you appear to be going to run your car a lot lower than i am with mine.

Have you ever thought you were lacking in power? Maybe you could get new headers made that run towards the front and then add a turbo. Then you could run the exhaust down the other side of the car, after all the pipe work would be up the front and go by the radiator to the other side.
But only if you thought you were lacking in the Power to Weight area.
That is a shame though, you've had some time to think about it, anything spring to mind other than some custom block hugger headers?

Leo,
I just had new headers and exhaust done for my roadster and you would find it easier to run a tri Y set-up.4-2-1. have your primaries meet just before the chassis rails and run the secondaries down the gap of the body and chassis and down under the chassis side rail. it will reduce ground clearance but not as much as trying to fit a single pipe under there. then run the secondaries into a 2.5 to 3 inch oval pipe (whatever is required) to give a bit more ground clearance. once i am home in a couple of weeks i will send a few pics of my headers and exhaust.
