Just read all 17 pages. This thing has come quite a long way, but updates appear to be slowing .
How's the new mechanic coming along? Did you get the previous mechanic's mess-ups corrected yet?

Just amazed at the scope of work that is being done. Doing that here in North America would be sooo costly!

Re: 1965 Honda S600 Coupe owner
after months of idle and travel to europe, my car has been relocated to another mechanic, due to the mechanic's impatience of waiting for spare parts. it's just hard to gauge someones mood, one day they are giving the best of interests and suddenly it all dies out. so the car is sent to my usual volvo mechanic, where he had rebuilt a rolls royce silver ghost previously.
my last mechanic has done nothing for me, not even sending my crankshaft to the shop to measure the clearance needed on the sleeves on my engine. it was just pretty much a temporary storage place for me and my car as i was away in europe for a month. though it was great to meet my friends in europe and have a taste in riding a honda s800. sadly most of my photos are gone due to damaged sd card. all i had was photos from my iphone!

Outstanding series of posts my friend! This is a labor of love, I should have gone to bed an hour ago, but saw your post and HAD to read the entire thing. I'll keep up with it now. Best wishes!

this is a pain in the ***, its not easy to multitask. as i dug deeper in the grave, i really saw what was going on. this was no easy car to fix. i was just going into tons of headbanging experiences! hope i get to sort it out for real somehow

Re: 1965 Honda S600 Coupe owner
cant answer u that, flip flop
im still waiting for my order of the cylinder head from canada. i bought this part from colin kennedy and took him months to deliver as he was busy with his own stuffs. the cylinder head costs me rm2000 (canadian dollars 620) and its being sent last month
instead, this arrived by mail from korea, a dragon ball t-shirt from uniqlo, featuring goku trailing on the honda s600 convertible. bought for USD20 on ebay. one limited piece t-shirt

damn my cylinder head plus tax costs about the same as rb26dett, crazy price!!!!
finally the cylinder head and few bits that arrived from the mail, got stuck with the customs and paid 37% of tax for it, damn it!!
my liners are chipped, cant find replacement, will attempt to use it in this condition!
