Wiring question, help please.
hey guys. i'm gonna be building my first box and installing an amp next week and i need to know how difficult it is to
A) wire a sub (dual 4 ohm Audiomobile EVO-R)to a box
B)wire a box to an amp (class D DEI 1100d that's 600+watts at 2 ohms)
C)(what I think will be the hardest) wire the amp to my headunit and battery. I've been advised to buy a Stinger SK4D wiring kit. Will this be enough for all of that?
My problem is that so far I've paid other people to put in my speakers, amp and head unit so I'm a lil worried that I'm in over my head. However I'm determined to become a DIY guy and just need any advise you can give me on how to wire this stuff, especially how to run the wires from the trunk to the head unit and battery. Thanks

Do you have a stock radio or an aftermarket? If it's an aftermarket it, just hook up the rca's to the rca input on the radio and hook up the remote (blue wire from the amp kit) to the blue wire on the radio. Then run them back to the amp under all the panels on one side of the car. If you have a stock radio you have to buy an loc (line output converter), this just converts the signal from the speaker wires into rca outputs, and also find the ignition wire on the radio harness. Now find a gromet in the fire wall, if you can't find one keep looking, never run it through your door jams. Now run your power wire through on the opposite side of the rca's, ack to the amp. Remember to hook up the fuse within 18 inches of the battery. If it's impossible to then don't stress it that much, now just find a ground and make sure it as close as possible, try to ground it the main structure of the car. Now hook everything up and double check your wires before turning it on.
Now to hook up your sub, just wire one positive to the negative on the other side of the sub. With the two left over terminals just run that to the amp and hook it up to the left negative and right positive on the amp. Good luck and have fun when it's done.

Read above and its exactly how you do it...just read it like 3x VERY slowly (I know what i'm doing and I was very slowed down from the organization/paragraphing)Its not difficult at all for you to wire an amp to a box, its basically, run a wire from the terminal on speaker to that of the box..your basically "extending" it this way.
Ditto goes from box to amp..but when you get to the amp, you must bridge the connection so that you can run the amp to full power. Take a look at your amp manual and it should show a wiring diagram for your application. It's basically, put the wire under the right terminals and screw them down.
You may need someone to install your amp power/remote/rcas...but trust me, the fun in the whole thing is learning to do it yourself, you really do feel proud, even with a shitty job.
