Default wiring problem help

i got an 1000watt amp and my wiring kit is for 1800waat amp is the wire gona be to fat for the power to reach the amp, becouse my amp wont turn of for some reason ,and the amp is not burned

Your amp won't turn off? Or do you mean on? No, you can't have a power cable that is too big. Give some more details. If it won't turn on, make sure you have a remote-turn on wire from your head unit to the amp. Do you have a multimeter?
