Where is the BRAKE wire on a 94 accord?
Im wondering where the BRAKE wire is for a 1994 Honda accord LX. I know its green with white strippes. But where is it located, and what does it mean by ....on the cold side....If someone can exactly lead me to this wire ill appreciate it. Im hooking up the Alpine CVA 1005 in my friends car and we need to know where this wire is and tap the brake wire into it. SO the screeen can work

If i'm correct, the brake wire is a safety feature so that the tv will only work when the parking brake is engaged. Most people dont like that so all you have to do is groung that wire. Your tv should at all times now instead of only when the parking brake is on.

incorrect. If you try that with an alpine unit.. you can potentially fry it (a customer of mine tried.. the unit smelled like burnt electronics afterwards and tried to say I did it for him.. this guy was a real winner let me tell you)

Re: Where is the BRAKE wire on a 94 accord? (rjr162)
i looked for a green n white wire right above the brake arm and found this plug. There were 4 or 3 wires sticking out and one of them was green n white so i connected it to the wire that was comin from the CVA 1005 but it still wont work. Do i have the right wire?

check http://techservices.codesystems.com
login: ROadshop
pass: roadshop
of course you can just make your own login, but you can find the wire color and all that there.
Also, make sure you're doing the sequence correctly to get the video to come up

</TD></TR></TABLE> did you check that wire and see if it has 12v+ on it when you step on the brake, E-brake wire also has to be hooked up, to trigger the system You must step on brake, set E-brake, keep foot on brake, release and set E-brake again then take foot off brake. 94
