Wheel Lock Keys...
Ok the purpose of the wheel lock is to protect the wheels.
BUT where do you guys keep your wheel lock keys? There really is no point to keep them in the car since if it gets stolen, VOILA! They have the key to get your wheels. But what if you get a flat tire?? How do you guys lug these things around?

This question was asked a few times before, without much response. Both good and bad people can read this. Look at it this way, if you want to keep it in your car, be creative.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean. its a hard question to ask because the answers really shouldnt be revealed.
Anyways I`ll take your word for it to be creative hehehe..

I think the main idea of wheel locks are to prevent a thief from taking the rims right off your car on the spot. Once a thief steals your entire car and brings it to a chop shop, the wheel locks arent gunna matter much, eh?
True but I recall a member on this board by the name of EEinteg.
He had red gsr with 5 lug conversion. Anyways, I heard that he had 3-4 wheel locks on each wheel so when they stole the car the wheels were left intact. I guess it gave them a hard time or something. I could be wrong but thats what I heard...
He obviously got it back with his wheels I beleive but everything else stripped??

When my stolen integra was recovered less then 24 hours later my rims were gone, I had one McGard lock and one Gorilla lock on each wheel, so I guess it depends on the skill of the thief.

Thanks GLock,
I think I am going to try out these new Gorilla Gaurd II.
They look awesome. The outter shell actually spins so you cannot even grip it without the right tool. And only the right tool will have the correct key.
The spinning outter shell is an awesome idea!!!

glock is exactly correct about wheel locks, they only protect your rims from gettin stolen on the spot. if a theif takes ur car, you can kiss everything goodbye, given enough time they can take everything. from my own experience i keep the key in my car, yeah if they steal my car they have the key. a couple of months ago someone tried to steal my rims but couldn't b/c of my locks. if they have the skill to take my car then they should have the skill to get wheel locks off.
but even then i know of ways to get wheel locks off on the spot without a key.
on a side note: don't take other ppl's pride and joy, if you do i hope ur engine blows

If you go to their website, download their PDF Adobe File. Its huge its like 7 MEgs, It's their catalog I beleive.
Anyways, it mentions about the Gaurd II. I am probably gonna give them a call soon and order them. Better safe than sorry....
If the entire car gets stolen then yes, with time anything get be stripped.
But at that point, I wouldnt even want the car back.
