Default What's your favorite active processor?

I've had experience with a few, Rockford fosgate 360.2 ( it's cool bc of the ability to control and tune via Bluetooth), alpine imprint, audio control...

What are some others that you like, and why?

audison bitone will be my next one, alpine pxa-h701 is my current one

Audio control is what i use if i'm just doing OEM integration for 6 or 8 channel summing input, (even though you can use a high quality line out adaptor).

Wow, didn't even know audison made a dsp, just read the review by car audio mag, sounds impressive

http://caraudiomag.com/articles/audi...-one-processor

audison makes some of my fav amps, thesis line makes me wet, lol!

I've heard nothing but positive feedback on the ms8 also...

The 360.2 was nice, I've only used it a cpl times, just recently on an infinity fx35 with stock Bose speakers, and it actually managed to make a dramatic difference, it was honestly quite impressive for the price...

the issue i have with the ms8 from the one i installed is that you cannot adjust crossover points without going through whole precess again. and the whole package must be hooked up, you cannot just run it as a standalone processor. maybe they've changed that now, but not on the first run i used. i'm not a huge fan of the 360.2 but for the price it's better than nothing.

Edzy, does ms8 give bandpass for front staging? I've never used one.

Thx for the link edzy, the unit sounds fairly nice. $800 isn't bad either. Idk what all the comments abt the 2v input on the preamp side is all abt, whoever wrote The review clearly stated that using high level input is better anyway bc it is completely independent from ground (less noise from the signal). I guess maybe they just want to use the h/u for subcontrol or something...

I appreciate the opinions, I'm obviously asking bc I want to upgrade. I got sucked into alpine imprint thx to Steve brown's build of the Mercedes r series alpine demo vehicle. I'm just not very happy with it, I'm limited to what I can do.

i have not been a fan of the IMPRINT stuff. i LOVE the older stuff because you just tune it, no limitations. i want to upgrade to the bitone because it had BT interrupt for like a parrot kit or something, multiple optical inputs, multiple user profiles. no real need for a head unit. haha.

I've been using an Alpine H701 for the last few years. I like it's ease of use with the controller but it does have some draw backs. Just about all units available today will have some short fall and it depends on what you can live with or without.

I've always been a fan of the pxa-h701 with the controller, and the F1 stuff is gnarley! (pricey though).

All you guys that like the 360.2... what makes you like it so much? Have you guys used other DSP's?

You guys remember the old school rockford EPX2? that thing was BAD!!! every now and then I'll see one pop up on the enternet, for like $850+, but it sells so fast...
