Default What is the difference between the two?

im looking to upgrade my stocks to a set of component speakers. what i need to know is what the difference is between the mid speakers in the kits. some have just a magnet

while others have what looks like a larger magnet underneath a housing like this

the ones with the larger ones are more money, but what is the real difference? just a larger subwoofer inside?
thanks for any help

Don't worry about magnets when buying speakers. Just because the magnet is big does not mean its the better buy. The polk speaker you see if a hight end model then that entry level kicker set
