what is this connector for??!!
I have a 89 civic hatch dx, I was replacing my shifter bushing and i noticed that there was a single connector that had been disconnected right in front of the parking brake handle after i had removed the plastic encasing that holds the boots sleeve in the middle of the driver and passenger seats... Since it was disconnected I connected it.. I m wondering what this connector is for ? and would it have anything to do with the reason my engine keeps running after removing the key? it only started to do this after I reconnected it.. im guessing it has to go toward the fuel tank.. so it would make since.. however if i take my foot off the brake pedal the engine will die and then after that, if i put my foot back on the pedal with the engine dead, the dash lights will light up( check engine, oil, seatbelt light etc..) im confused any insight would be appreciated thanks

Wire color(s), single pin 2pin or multi-pin plug?
The only plug that should be around the hand brake is the hand brake indicator lead, [single pin], it supplies a ground to the hand brake indicator in the cluster.
I gues I should have asked, 5 speed or auto, [lots more leads and plugs if it is an auto]?
Do you have remote start?
What did you plug the connector back into? 94
