Default What amp should I use for this setup?

alright guys, I just bought a set of Theater Research subs and a pair of Alpine Type-R 6x9s. Here are the links to how they look

TR- http://www.trtheaterresearch.com/car/tr-9700.htm

Type-r - http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9...R69LP

So as the title stated what kind of amp would I need to make these sound good. I was thinking of going with a 4-channel amp with at least 800W+. So let me know aite thanks

might not be in your best interest to use a 4 channel amp to run the subs and speakers off of since the subs are 2 ohm and the speakers are probably 4 ohm. not to mention if you want to crank the subs you'll also be cranking the speakers the same and they don't need the same amount of power

yea get a mono block for your subs or a 2/4channel for your other speakers

no, if he wants to crank the subs, he can just adjust the gains, etc. off whatever channel he is running them. as he can seperately do with the channels he is running his fronts.. 6x9s.. wherever they are.

ideally, run the sub off a monoblock class d sub amplifier, and the satellites off of their own amplifier. personally.. just personal preference.. and maybe some others agree.. id trade in that set of 6x9s for a nice set of 6.5s

..just something to think about.. good luck
