Default weird chirp

When the key is in the ignition and the engine is running, If I turn the key to "off" quickly the alarm siren will chirp once, but if I turn the key slowy like going through each one of the ignition modes( I cant remember what they are off, acc, on, start?) slowly it wont chirp.

I brought it back to the place that installed it and they said it was trying to auto arm? I dont think so..but idk. Any one know why it does this?

Thanks in advance.

There is no reason that it should chirp, I see nothing in the manual... http://www.directeddealers.com...5.pdf that would account for it, I would check the alarms ign. input lead, [H1/4 yellow]... http://www.directeddealers.com...5.pdf, make sure it is connected to "true" ign. and not acc., it should have power on it when ign. switch is in run and start, but not acc.. 94

got that right

I dont really want to give them a bad name cause I had my last civics alarm done there and it was an awesome job, never did find the brain. But I had it done at Ultimate electronics.

oh yeah I actually found it by mistake...wires were sticking out through an opening on the knee panel.

I would go back and get my money back, for the install, that is one cluster f*#k of an install, definitely a shitty ground, [shitty crimp, not soldered, and screwed in with an anodizes screw to a removable, knee bolster] give it a yank and alarm is defeated.
Also, unused wires not removed, I can see both the NO and NC starter cut leads.

So sad. 94

BTW what did you pay for the install and what options did you get?

I have had it now for just about a year. I have gone back 3 times within a few months of getting it installed wanting them to redo it and they tell me that theres nothing wrong with it saying thats their "standard". Well I got standard on my last one and never found the brain. I am staying away now cause I think they are starting to hate me and I dont want anyone jacking with my car. I just paid for the alarm with install included like my last alarm I got from them. I was expecting it to be done nicely just like my last one. If I knew it was going to be like this I would have never gone back. I will play it safe and say total cost was around $400.00 but I do believe it was more than that.

Oh yeah I think some thing is wrong with the atenna or the 2 way remote. Sometimes I have to put the 2 way remote up to the atenna to get it to work.
