sounds like your trying to push alot of power through there. what i would do is do a direct tap from the battery to the interior, but put a relay between it, so it still turns on and off with the key.

There are several unused pins across the under dash fuse panel. Some are constant, some are acc, and one is a parking light output. Tap into them with female quick disconnects.

satellite radio I would connect to the stereo's acc wire (red on an aftermarket stereo).

The only way I know of is to verify them with a voltmeter or ask someone that has.

Furthest left is constant. Next to the right is ACC. The next is USUALLY the parking light output. Then another ACC. I verify them every time.

Just researched this topic for a quick tutorial on installing an extra accessory plug in my '04 civic ex sedan in order to power the car dock of my new portable XM Radio. Can I splice into existing wires? Or, do I need to run something directly from the fuse box? I had planned on simply going to AutoZone and picking up an accessory plug, wiring it, and hiding it in the console with the car plug, exiting all the wires (Auxiliary, Power from plug, and Antenna) out of the space between the emergency brake and the boot. My car dock fits exactly in the space in front of the console next to the E-brake. Thanks in advance for the help...

Why did the OP delete all his comments? Does he have a problem with contributing to the archives?

They sell an XM fm direct antenna adapter that comes with a cigarette lighter plug adapter. This plugs into your portable sat radios cig lighter power plug and gives you a power and ground wire. You can tap this into your cig lighter power or your radio's red/yellow or aftermarket radio's red wire. You can also wire it constant if you want. And you could always go to the ignition harness for constant, ignition, or accessory power.

At Best Buy what we do is open up the power plug, extend it's internal power and ground wires after the chip, put it back together, tape it up, and then wire it as I said in the above paragraph. Many of the earlier portable sat radios were 12v input so you could simply cut off the cig power plug and wire it directly. But most now are 5v. You can tell by looking at the power input at the dock or in the spec sheet.
