i want it to hit hard with deep bass but sound quality is the most important
also keeping light weight would be nice cause the gsr likes to go

A W7 12 will rape Alpine in sound quality and output. But the down side could be that it's going to have to be in a large ported enclosure in order for it to sound right. I'd use the pre fab they make for it if I were you. Together it weighs in at about 80lbs or more I guess.

the Diamond Audio TDX 10 will rape, pillage, and mop the floor with the JL w7. It also requires less airspace and can take more wattage. It also cost less than that pos w7.

I had a 10w7 with a jl 500/1 amp in the pre-fab box, and I hated it for all music besides rap and techno. There was no response for rock like with the type-r's. Type-r's will be cheaper, and sound better IMO, but they won't be as loud.

W7 and type Rs are both un-efficent subs and i wouldnt recomend either. they take way to much power to beat. id get a w3v2 before a w7. or some ppi (check my sig)

xxx sub from http://www.respl.com

i have one and so does vteg.
fuccin owns the W7 for like half the price.
YES, i've owned a 10W7 and 500/1 jl audio monoblock before.
so weak compared to my 12 XXX and 1500bd brutus hifonics amp..
i even got the jl audio **** at employee discount from my cousin, and it
was still an assrape for my bank account.
