Default Viper remote not responding

Hey guys,

I have a Viper 350HV and it has the 473v remote, and for some reason the remote will not arm/ disarm the car. I do not have the manual for this system due to the fact it was in the car when I bought it 3 years ago. Does anyone on here know the reason why it randomly stopped working and a solution? Or should I blame it on my girlfriend for asking me to lock the doors because she didn't want to carry her purse? hahaha

Has it ever worked before? Probably dead remote battery. Go to www.th12volt.com to download the manual.

Yup it did work before, the remote still lights up green.....Now it will arm/disarm SOMETIMES like maybe 1 / 100 presses of the button. Tomorrow I will buy a new bat and try that, but any other suggestions to try as well?

upgrade, seems most the older vipers have issues with remotes dying. specially the ones with lcd screens.

ditto, If the battery doesn't work, and you didn't change anything, your transmitter is going bad, Buy a replacement transmitter quick and and program it b4 the old one dies or you may be stranded especially with the engine kill. Also, you can put it on valet mode but then your unprotected. GL

O, I forgot to mention, some professional locksmiths own a transmitter sensor which can check the operation of your transmitter
