Default viper 350hv

can i buy a new remote with the screen and more butons for options and program it to the existing alarm in my car?

you can use a 791 responder remote if you swap the antenna, and cable to a 791 setup.

How does an alarm not designed with "transmit" abilities work with a two-way transmitter?

I would imagine that it might work as a one-way, but what the hell do I know?

as long as you add the 791 ant cable and ant . the 791 remote will program and respond like it should. ive done several 350hv this way and it works well. although in some cases the customer will wind up spending as much as another dei model that already comes with a responder remote and more features. but it does give them the ability to upgrade. i have yet to try this with the 5900 sst remote, so im not sure if that one will work or not. it should though as all the tans/recieve is done by the antennas circuit board. the brain just feeds the info on the 4 wire ant cable.

where can i buy the remote and antenna? and all i do is bring it to the store (best buy) and they can program it for me? howmuch will it cost for the remont and antenna?

some people just dont know any better. see if some of the installers on here can order and sell you the stuff from there shops.
