Valet/led question
This alarm I bought came with a pod that has the valet switch and status led as one..So kind of weird,I mean you're supposed to hide the valet switch but keep the led visible..Can i put some kind of switch on the valet wires to make it on/off? or not? or do i have to cut the wire and add on a new valet switch,if so can i just use a regular switch from radioshack?

Yeah, I was reading that in the manual about how you could program your own sequence for the button, but I just don't like it in the open like that.

So I can just install any toggle switch in between the wires and have it on/off? the toggle switch won't be acting like a new valet button or anything right?
it's a newer crimestopper "CS-2002DC series IV"
Here's a pic of my valet/led for reference.

oh i see what your saying. a toggle switch to de activate the valet switch. yes that would work. just cut one wire and put your switch between the cut section.

It will not, you will need a momentary switch, either a toggle or push button.
Can you not remove the LED and button from the housing and just mount them where you want?

I tried to seperate the 2 but honestly I don't want to risk breaking anything. And on the back there is some rubberized coat that has the wires attatched.
