Default tweeter suggestions

i finally got my amp (alpine MRP-F250) hooked up to my alpine type r component and coaxial speakers in my civic. unfortunately, both of my tweeters have been crushed in the doors due to shitty temporary mounting. they still sound good but look like ****. my question is what tweeters should i buy? i found a place that has the spr-176a tweeters for about 40 bucks but i was also looking at jl 3/4 in tweeters (50w rms) which i think will be nice. any suggestions on what i should do?

Just about any tweeter will work, but the Alpine x-over was designed to run the tweeters that came with the component set, match it as close as you can. 94

thats what i've heard. i believe they are 1in 50w rms silk dome tweeters...if i got 3/4 in jl 50w rms silk dome tweeters will it sound right? i havent installed the amp yet so i dunno if that clears things up but the tweeters crackle at times. im pretty sure its just distortion though not the sound of the tweeter.

Yes, it may only be the HUs amp clipping that you are hearing on the tweets, I can't find any specs for the Alpine but the JL I do have... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...d=248 it is probably a better tweeter then the Alpine type R. 94

if you contact pacific coast parts you can purchase the tweeters from your component set seperately. they are an alpine parts distributor. I dont have their number here but you can google them just as easy probably.
