I bought two sets of Infinity refrence components from crutchfield about a month ago for my 04 WRX and i love the way they sound i also have a 12" alpine type x..BUt one thing i will say about compents is, power them to their FULL RMS power to make them sound good, this will allow you to turn them up without having them distort compared to the same volume level with them being powered off of a stock or aftermarket HU

if you're just talking tweeters then 2 should be fine. Although I've never heard them Hiquphon makes some that are supposedly quite good. If I were searching for tweets I'd want to listen to these as well as the focal berylliums. Depending on the speaker though you may need some EQ.....I had a pair of focal utopias and the highs were really harsh. With some EQ things evened out but I really don't like using EQ just to make a speaker listenable. I don't know if the berylliums have this same issue though. Probably won't be an issue for most people though.....I'm just not a fan of EQ.

You mention six speakers though so maybe you're looking for a component set?

Whatever your budget is though.....spend as absolutely much as you can on speakers. The majority of people can't tell the difference in an amp but almost everyone can tell the difference in a speaker. If you've got the cash........check out a dynaudio and scan-speak. I've got a pair of dyn's and I love them.
