Default trunk rattle

The top of the trunk is dynamated. But the part of the trunk around the lock is all hollow and couldnt be dynamated. Anyway that rattles alot, someone told me to use that foam insulator stuff.

i fixed my rattle in the area of the trunk latch by adjusting the mounts of the trunk and making the trunk close more snug... but not sure that is the same area of rattle you are dealing with.

2 way expanding foam , and tighten all bolts and screws. Try using locktight for good measure.

get closed cell foam and you will be fine with the moisture.

You can also just put electrical tape around the latch part of the hatch and that will elimintate it for the most part too.

It could be your bumper also. I know when i had my 1995 Nissan Altima the trunk rattled a lot so i took it off, fileld it with expanding foam then shaped it to the underpart of the structure under the bumper skin. Took 95% of the noise from the bumper. Im about to go do the same on my bumper also on my civic

Unless the stock gasket is damaged, you should not be adding anything to it or the lid surface it sits on, adjusting the latch will do the same thing. 94
