Default system issue

i have a rockford fosgate x500.2 amp and 2 12" rockford he subs. My quesiton is sometimes my bass sounds real good and sometime it just sounds real soft/and doesnt have a nice boom to it. anyone know what could be my problem. Thanks for the help!

the amp takes a few minutes to "warm up" per say, also things like capacitor charge and amp usage effect the levels.

It could also be your crossover settings, unless of course it sounds bad at the same part of a song it previously sounded good in. Then it could be a whole bunch of things including not enough power, warm up time, running for too long..etc

Play with your settings. One of the mistakes people do is to turn everything up, including bass. Sometimes you actually have to turn it back down to normal, and let the sub do it's thing. Sometimes, that's the way you can hear good clean bass.
