Switching from 2 subs to 1....& current problem
Okay. So I used to have two 10''s, now just one....the speaker wire going to the subs ended as two sets. However, it appears from my amp that the audio shop ran one set and then somehow created two sets once the black coat wire ended saying - and +. there's a green plastic piece after that, and then you see the two sets.
since i don't know how these work, I decided to try to hook the one to one of the sets of speaker wire. played a song...it worked! i hear the sub working....however I checked my amp (under my seat) and it says CURR for Current problem....
the other set of speaker wire is just "sitting" and not in use..
have any idea as to what i need to do?

seems like you amp is a mono. you can just put the pos wires together and the neg together and use them. it dont matter. to avoid the wires touching each other.
I could have installed that ish for free if you lived closer. If your amp is a mono and they just split it, just take the ends that went to one sub and connect it to your sub. Snip the other set so no loose wires can touch and put a piece of electrical tape over them perhaps to prevent it shorting out.
