subs cutting out???
ok, i was driving along today, and my subs just randomely cut out, maybe 4 or 5 minutes after i start the car. I stopped in a parking lot to look at it to see if i could figure out whats wrong. so i rearranged the wiring to make sure that was all ok, and played with the head unit to make sure all the settings were at normal. my bass settings said it was a lot lower than i usually have it. that was strange. but i turned the settings back up, and still no bump. ???. i live in michigan and its around 0- 20 degrees here right now. so im guessing it might be the cold weather. is it possible? and also, i checked the amp, and everything is hooked up fine. so im confused. hope someone can help me out. thanks in advance.
could you give some more detail about your stereo setup?
it would help me and others assist you.
like are you running your speakers off amps or just for the sub?
are you using your stock headunit with an inline converter.
from what it sounds like you could have some loose wire somewhere connected to your wire harness for your headunit. a wire could be grounding out.

from the sound of it, "rearanging wires" i think thats your problem, go home take about an hour zip tie some **** up and make it look professional. id say your problem is a speaker grounding out. do you have aftermarket door speakers? if you do and the wires came off the terminals and touched metal or each other thats most likely your problem.
you might still be able to get the output channels on the amp fixed if the amp is worth it. Otherwise, you want to make sure next time your power and ground are of the proper gauge (especially your ground).
You also would want to make sure there is no way your remote wire is coming loose anywhere.
Good luck

everything is hooked up right, I looked at it and checked the ground and the remote. Fuse under battery? someone at a audio store said to switch it probably. I checked for water but that was it. Know how to do?
BTW: I am not the same person

check your battery terminal, your connection may have corroded (happened to me). It looks connected, but isn't making contact. If that's not it check your ground, as everyone is recommending. Also have someone help you, watch amp's 'power' light, see if it lights up at all, mine lit up then went dim really fast. That's how I fixed my problem, also, if your front speakers are coming off the head unit, pull it out and see if your RCA jacks and wiring harness haven't come loose off the back of the head unit.
