sub w/ not amp
I have a alpine 10" sub and I was planning on just wiring it into the back speakers. I have a 180w head unit. I am planning on going big w/ an amp and professional install. But for now I would like to use what I have. My ? is if anyone know of any type of high frequency in-line blockers. The same as bass blockers for tweets. I appreciate all help.
Your HU does NOT have enough power to run the sub, you will only damage the sub or the HU if you try, and adding a coil, [passive lowpass x over] isn't going to help

Buy a amp because it will cost more to replace everything then just buying an amp and a wiring kit.
At least use something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
(its something but i dont recommend)
but take a look you might find a deal:
http://motors.search.ebay.com/...spiZ2
Also check out pepboys, bestbuy, or any audio shop.
If you live in socal i can hook you up with a alpine system:
12" sub w/ incloser
2 amps
front and rear speakers
cd changer
head unti
Sorry i dont know much about it because i never installed it i just heard that we offer a kit like that. the price is 50 dollars but you have to pay for installtion on each item. so in the end it will equal about 350-450 depending on your car/truck

180/4 max power i.e 45x4 or (20x4 rms)
pioneers are set up to bridge the rear channels to use for a super efficient cub, but who would actually do that (gobs of distortion)

almost any since 98, I had a deh-p315 in 98 that had that function, its so useless tho, the old manager at my job ran a pioneer sub and pioneer components in his crx it worked for that application but thats cuz of the size of the car and cuz its an open area.

Because theres no pioneer with that model number. I even called them and asked if it was discounted but nope they never had one.
this also what you get from google:

sorry, it has been like 7 years since i had that radio, it is deh-345 not 315.
my deh-p6000 did the same thing, as well as my deh-p720 and my deh-p7300.
I have never checked my current radio.
to get to that function in a pioneer radio you have to hold down source for 3 secs then hold down audio for 3 secs then u get a menu that says rear sp/ full, u press right and it goes to rear sp/sw it low passes the rear speakers and you can bridge it. try it on one.

But enough of this, you need to read the post, I am not saying that Pioneer didn't have switchable rear speaker outputs, they did and for some time now, but we are talking about bridging.........

I went and checked some Pioneers including the DEH-P720 and the DEH-P7300 and although you can switch the rear speaker outputs to "Rear SP:S.W." the instruction is, "If you switch Rear Output setting to the "Rear SP:S.W.", you can connect a rear speaker lead directly to a Subwoofer without using an auxiliary amp". that's "a" rear speaker lead, nothing about bridging or how you would do that, I even checked the install manual, and it only shows one sub per output, no bridged mode.
