Default Sub likes to control itself?

The sub and amp seem to work fine, but when I turn the deck off I can hear it thump occasionally, but while the key is still in.

Its a Sony Xplode, MTX Amp and Kenwood Deck, Have a feeling its to do with the remote wire.?

Thats wierd, there should be no signal whan the deck is off, even if the remote wire is on. Maybe your RCA's are shorting on something.

make a zero signal from an old rca, and use that to check if its the amp itself. To me it sounds like the amp is having a problem.

you're experiencing a turn-off thump. In your case, the headunit is turning off before the amp is. What you want to have is the amp turn off before the headunit. They sell those devices that delays the time between the turn off of the amp and headunit.

Or simply just check your ground wires, both headunit and amp's

This guy said it right. However, unless it bothers you alot I wouldn't worry about it. It shouldn't hurt anything.
