In my 92 accord coup I have a Sony 1000 watt amp running 2 Sony p5 12". My question is should I run the subs facing the back seats or facing the back trunk lid? I have listened to them in both position and they sound about the same but I haven't bean able to run them in a sbl competition so I don't know which will give me the higher spl?

If they sound the same, what does it matter? You can't tell which is louder until it is metered.

 

well im asking because i was wandering if someone has experience in knowing witch direction gives the higher spl

 

generally to the rear sounds louder.....but it mostly depends on how you tune it and how your box is tuned

 

There in a sealed box I never bothered to take dimensions I was in a rush when I bout it I was eager to hear the subs. another reason im asking this is because i plane on building around the trunk and covering it in velvet so I can get my amps off the bottom and clean up the trunk maybe add some neons and strobes for the heck of it but I cant until I know which direction to put the subs.
