Default sub cutting out

okay i've just purchashed a new system. 2 pioneer 12s and a pioneer premier 800watt mono amp. i hav a pioneer premier HU and speakers. pretty much a full pinoeer system. my question is..my subs seem to cut out at half volume, which is 30. ( max is 62) it will play for a short time at higher volumes, i like to listen around 32-38ish. the bass will hit and then not and so on. then i will hav to bring the volume around 28-30 to hav the bass bump smoothly again. i think that the subs arent gettin enough voltage at higher volumes. i was thinking about gettin a Cap. or even a Otpima yellow top battery to fix this problem. but i need some advice from u guys. so0o preach away

What ohms are your subs and Amp? It could be a problem with impeadences not matching up and the amp going into protect mode.

what is the model # of ur subs and amp? it seems like it is goin into protection mode like SiRGDC said

do you have the grounds and power cables securly anchored? i just fixed someones system this weekend that they did have the ground points bolted down, they just didnt bother to crimp the cables to the wire...u could just easily bump the wire and it would fall out

His complaint was when the subs were turned up the amp would cutout also, but when turned down it woudl turn back on, it was probably making the ground cable shake and temp. come off of the ground point
