Amp turns off when subs cut out.
Amp turns off when subs cut out.
either somethin isnt connected right and the amp is losing power cuz i had that problem. it turned out i just had to re-fasten the power cables to the battery and its been fine since. i say start by tracing your wiring and makin sure everythin is solid. if that doesnt fix it for you then it could be something with the amp. maybe gettin to hot and clippin out or going into protection mode. check it out n get back. disconnect the amps turn on lead, [tape it off so it can't short out] with a short piece of wire make a jumper from the amps pos. (+) term to the "turn on terminal" screw in place, amp will turn on even if car is off, make sure volume is down and HU is off until you start the car, once car is running turn on the HU, [you may hear a "thump", don't worry it can't hurt] drive the car and see if amp still cuts out.......
If yes, problem is not in the amp control wiring or HU.
If no, then there is a problem in the HU or it's power and ground wiring or the amp control lead running to the amp from the HU.
