Default Sub box placement

I have a 98 hatchback, I was wondering which is the best way to place a sub box in my hatchback?

1) In the spare wheel well with the speaker facing up
2) In the corner (either passenger or driver side) with the speaker facing the trunk cabin
3) Leaning against the rear seat with the speaker facing the hatch door

Thanks

The best way is the way that sounds the best to you, there is no "right" way, facing the sub to the rear is probably the best way to do it, box up against the seat sub "facing the hatch door"

Where ever you place it try it both in and out of phase, place box, listen to it, then reverse the speaker leads going to the box, you may have a phase switch in your HU or on the amp, in that case use the switch to switch the phase. 94
