Make sure your connections are good. And double check them and make sure they are good again. Then tell us what you find.

the power, and remote wires are good. i have the ground attached beneath the carpet to the metal with a screw. when i move it and touch it to metal it sparks. thats when the light flashes on.

So your ground wire isn't grounded?

Sand off the paint where it's connected and reattach it.

it should be grounded, its attached directly to the metal.

From what you just described, moving it across metal sparks it so your ground is probably bad.

That or you blew an internal fuse for the amp.

Probably a bad ground. If he blew a fuse, it wouldn't even spark.

Depending on the setup I guess, If he had a capacitor in between the amp and the power it would still spark. But good point if it was directly to the amp.

I attached my ground to one of my trunk bolts and had no probs just rub off some of the paint to make sure the wire is flush with the metal

Sounds like a weak ground, but anytime the power light flashes that's usually not a good thing. I have blown many amps "testing" things the way you are.
