If I were you, i havnt looked at all the reviews or anything but with the specs of your subwoofer(its the quad voice coil one isnt it?) I would get the PowerAcoustik Class D Series #A2400DB mono block amp. The one you have listed wouldo verpower the subwoofer by 300 watts rms and might damage it after a bit. In my opinion the PowerAcoustik Class D Series #A2400DB would be a better match. Remember to wire it so it puts a 2 ohm load with that amp I provided.
i forgot to also say that the amp I provided would only underpower the sub by 100 watts but your amp would over power it by 300. the sub can hold 1500 all together and your amp puts out 1800rms and the one i showed putsout 1400. with the amp i provided its a safer bet.

Believe me I have replaced more blown speakers on "underpowered" systems then I have on "overpowered systems, [100s of x more]

yeh..im getting one custom built probably this week or next week.
do u think 1'' mdf would be good enough for this setup?

Yes I would use 1" MDF I would also brace every seam, "paint" the inside of box and the cut edges, [including the speaker hole and speaker term. hole] with fiberglass resin to seal it up, I would also use "T" nuts and blots to mount the sub instead of screws, or make the baffle 2" thick and use 2" number 10 screws.

LOL..... $175 for a box for that sub, we would charge $300 and that would be the raw box, no paint or carpet, and you would have to install the sub yourself.
I would maybe just ask them how they are going to build it, just using 1" MDF is not going to cut it, although it will work and I don't think it will fall apart, but to get everything out of that amp and sub, the box will have to be "bullet proof"
