stock speaker help

Default stock speaker help

alright I'm new to this stereo stuff and i got a problem. I got a 95 civic ex and one of my speakers rattles. i don't know what is wrong with it and i can't get the cover off of it. can any of you guys help me out?

hmm, speaker could be ripped, loose, something inside fell off and is rattling.. or other things.. not sure how to take off a pannel for civics..

so bump.. for some help

it could be.. i mean i'd have to hear the noise to really be able to tell you. and blown as in cone/foam surround ripped/torn, or voice coil is going out..

a good way to tell, have u been BUMPIN ur **** loud? and ur bass on high

I don't really play it that loud. the bass is up pretty high though. you can only hear it when the bass hits. i just can't figure out how to get to the speaker without tear **** up and removing a bunch of crap. and it's in the back so it's kinda annoying.

Some Civics have nuts on the underside of the rear deck which hold the speaker grills on.

Do a search in the Civic forum to find out how to remove the door panel or cover off so you can take a look at the speaker. It could be that it is completely blown and needs to be replaced
