two 12s
what would be the best two 12's I could get for the best price say at the most $150 a piece. I was thinking about getting JL audio W0s but I dont know. Anyone got any good ideas this is going in a 4 door 95 accord. Also where to get them at can u trust ebay on speakers? I checked Dealtime. Also I may want to splurge and try to get competition speakers anyone have any ideas on both questions?
Thanks doesnt sound bad I always like the sound of 2 speakers though. Im considering competition does anyone know anything about JL audio w6. Im wanting 12s and I think those would be nice. What size amp would I need to push them maybe JL 1000.
Thanks for the responses
Thanks for the responses
would 400$ for two W6 be a good deal 12s? Also have u or anyone else ordered off Ebay for speakers? Would that be a good enough setup for competition? If I had the right box and amp.

jl12w6v2 is sum mean a$$ subs.. my friend got a good price on them when they just came out for i believe it was 250ish each.. Im not sure of the current price but anything less is alwayz good... Last time i looked the older jl12w6 runs around 100 bucks or so.. me personally i have the older jl.comparing the old stuff to the new stuff... the new stuff is much better... I wouldnt get a jlw0 if i was you.. either w6 or or maybe even a w3 or nothing... if you get a w0 im sure you wont be too pleased with the sound when you hear the difference when someone rolls by with a w3 or w6
how did you get from 150 bucks each to JLW6v2's?!?!?
The JL is a great woofer, but if you really want to compete, you should be looking elsewhere. You should also take a look at what kind of class and sanctioning body you want to compete in, etc. All of this is very important before you go buying equipment or you will get your *** handed to you - no offense.
If you want just a regular street car, I'd get a pair of Shivas or some IDv3's and enjoy. The IDv3's will kill the W0's (IMO of course).
I certainly wouldn't buy JL off of the internet. JL puts serial numbers in odd spaces. Often to protect their distribution, these dealers will remove the serial numbers, sometimes causing damage to the items. This way you can't get warranty, and JL can't track the product back to who purchased it. Just something you should keep in mind.

no offense taking sounds like very good advice. Well I will tell you guys Ebay has a deal for 2 Jl W6 for 399$ I dont know if there the older ones or the newer ones. But I think that a great deal. Also they have some audiobahn 12s for like 89$ for 2 you know the ones with the flames on it. Im just trying to get the best system I can get for the 1995 4 door accord.

Im willing to pay up to about 300$ for 2 good 12s

Dont sleep on single sub setups...Theres very minimal difference if its going to be for cruising rides, the bump is still in the trunk...Especially if you bridge your amp or go mono with serious ampage working the sub. If you are going for SPL, single subs in a custom ported box can still keep up with two and three sub setups...Just gotta do it right...

indeed. it's all about the set up. there's a show Mini (i can't remember the sponsor) that has only ONE solobaric xs (or was it sx)...but it sounds sweet.

i've got one 12" in a ported box and hits hard, and another advantage is that its lighter. as long as you do it right with quality **** anything can sound good
and as far as 150 for 2 your not gonna get anything btu audiobahn or some used ****. save your money and do it right

2 12w6v2s are loud enough for me,I hit 148.3 on the new mic which is incredibly tight.Good Luck.

blaupunkt makes some pretty amazing subs. I had a 10 inch that while doing work on my car I punctured it about 2 inches at the rim and it worked like nothing had happened to it. I was pretty impressed.
