Default Speakers/Headunit issues

Well basically, whenever I'm driving...my speakers just stop producing sound...stock speakers...1994 Honda Accord EX...Boss Audio head unit..

http://www.bossaudio.com/home/...Num=1

Model number: MP3-3195R / RDS-3195MP3

Basically if I hit a bump or anything...turn/break too fast...whatever...they just turn off...I open my door and slam it shut and they turn back on until I hit another bump...I have a video I recorded of this all...but I'm looking for a place to upload it so I can show you guys...also...when I turn up the haedunit to basically anything over 66 the sound quality turns to ****...and 66 really isn't even loud..the head unit has got to be good cause when I had it in my sisters Saturn stationwagon it worked fine...but I bought this car about a month or two ago and installed it last month and I've been having problems... As soon as I find a site to host my video recording on I'll upload it..thanks for any help anyone contributes

If all the speakers and speaker wiring is stock, the first thing I would look at is for damage to the wiring between the car and door, in the rubber boot, a speaker lead shorting out there would put the HU into "protect" mode, if they look good, I would pull the HU and check your wiring. 94

Well checking the wiring going from the car into the doors is nothing more then just inspecting them, look for cracks in the rubber boots, and/or slide the boot up or down and check the wiring inside the boot, for cracks in the insulation or broken wires. As for the HU wiring, make sure all the connections are good and that the are all insulated properly, [no bare wires].

Did you use a harness adapter when you installed the HU? 94

Yes I used a wire harness. My broter installed it for me using butt splices and coverintg it off with electrical tape, each wire seperately, around the butt splices and some of the wire...everything looks right...color to color....orange is left out...it's some kind of illumination that my car doesn't have a wire for...I'll go and check the wiring the way you explained it..thanks!
