There is NO way to fit 6x9 speakers into the front of a civic without HEAVY modifications to the door. Even if you do manage to find room to cut the hole you will have major window clearance issues as the magnets on 6x9's (even cheap ones) tend to be rather large. Your only other option is to have a custom mount (like a fiberglass enclosure) fabricated for your door panel. Not an easy project you got there.

so what you bascially saying is to go to a professional to do this? cause a guy from my work has a buddy who works @ a local stereo store and he would be willing to install my system for me (which includes 2 Pioneer 10" subs, brand new Alpine Amp and Pioneer DEH-3300 deck).. would this option be the best one? thnx

I would get a 5.25 or 6.5 speaker set. Unless you want your car chopped up.

why do you want a set of 6x9's in the front anyways?? get a good set of components instead. They'll sound much better

could i put the 6x9's in the back of my car? i currently dont have speakers back there cause it came stock w/out them so i was thinking of putting em back there and getting a set for 6.5" component speakers? im not sure my brother said to get 2way's where as my friend says 3ways.. what are the big difference between the 2 and is it worth the extra $$? and also tell me if the 2 6x9's in the back would work! thnx
btw: im new to audio and everything else as you can tell! thnx

Nope. Civics don't have any 6x9 holes. If you are looking at coaxes, get a better 2 way instead of a 3-way. For example if you are going to spend 100, get a 2 way instead of 3-way. Every three way coax I have heard did not sound as good as a comparably price 2-way.

If you put them in boxes, they will end up in the trunk where they are not as useful. Get a set of front speakers, and hook up your sub. That will get you going. When you save up more money get some rear speakers, or a better 5.25 set to put in your front and move the others back.

I would actually ditch the 6x9's all together. You'll get better sound from jsut a pair of front speakers and a sub. I purchased some alpine 6x9's in the sumemr and have since cut all frequencies above 80hz from going to them. the system sounds better and it's still running the stock civic front speakers.
