anything above except crunch, sony, boss audio. There is no magical subwoofer out there. Just quality and workmanship. The ones i posted are not on top of the game. Your sound is going to depend on the enclosure and power. And the cabin gain of your car.

As far as the poll goes... alpine, jl, and boston would be in my personal top 3. Id also say to stay away from crunch and boss as a whole.
Memphis has a great reputation for making good amps. I wouldnt hesitate to use one. Havent heard much about their subs though.
For the 6.5's and 6x9's... ... ... it really really depends on personal preference and on price range. I have always liked infinity's speakers because i like the "brightness" they have... however they dont have very much bass output in general. Alpines type r's are generally regarded as being solid as well as pioneer rev series speakers. I'd also recommend looking into some CDT speakers on woofersetc.com
A little sidenote about the 6x9's... ... im assuming that they are placed in the rear deck. When you have subs in the trunk, the air pressure they create can often interfere with any speakers installed in the rear deck if they are not enclosed individually and it can cause lots of distortion. Just something to think about

Have you tried anything other than audiobahn to set up a decent comparison? It's like saying that you love your stock headunit/speakers, and you start recommending that people stay with their stock systems, even though you have not heard anything other than stock. How would that be a good recommendation?
You love audiobahn's sound quality. I loved the sound quality of my stock deck/speakers. But guess what, after I upgraded to something better, I think that my stock system sucked.

life would be so much easier if i was that easily satisfied. unfortunely Audiobahn is pure crap. They're all marketing and they market to people who are impressed by shiney stuff.

I do agree that audiobahn is marketed mainly because of its "bling" factor. However, the only personal experience ive had with their products is listening to a friends audiobahn subs...never heard their amps or speakers. He had i think either 2 or 4 12's in his van in a huge ported box. He was only after SPL and didnt care about SQ. For his application, the audiobahn subs were pretty damn good considering what he paid for them.
