Shock Sensor and Proximity Sensor
hello i have a viper 790xv alarm system and i am installing it myself, i'm about 90% finish with it but i'm having trouble with the proximity sensor, i have a generic proximity sensor(its not the dei brand), the hook ups are(and this is str8 from the manual), RED WIRE >>>>12v+(i got that), BLACK WIRE>>>>Ground(i got that), GREEN WIRE>>>>>Exterior triple neg. pulse perimeter trigger(not sure what that means), and BLUE WIRE(interior single neg. pulse alarm trigger) not sure about that. how would i hook up this sensor
coming from the brain of the 790xv in the four pin harness to the shock sensor, the green wire is loose at the sensor end (as opposed to the end nearest the brain of the alarm), twist the blue and green wires from the prox sensor together and attach them both to the green wire in the four pin shock sensor harness that leads to the brain.
These sensors are "multiplex" sensors, and can recognize diffrent amounts of trigger voltage(hence the single or triple) down the same wire....the blue wire from the brain sees the shock sensor and dei leaves the green wire loose in case someone is adding a prox....like you.
Hope this helps.

so what you actually do is plug the shock sensor harness end with the looped green wire into the brain and the end with the loose wire into the shock sensor????
do u know why directed says its the other way around???

That's what i said, or tried to say....sorry if i confused you....the end of the harness with the looped green wire goes to the actual shock sensor, the "loose" green wire that goes to the brain is where you tie the blue and green from your prox together.
