Default Settings on system? Help =/

it seems that it gets "distorted" that its pushing too hard and just doesn't hit well at all.... whats wrong?

anything wrong? is it just me? what to change?

thinking of getting either 2 - 12" W3V3? (cheaper)
or
2 - 12" W6V2 for now then add another 500/1... (much more $$)

ideas?
any advice?

( i haven't done the "gain" output for sub amp.. dont know how. dont understand what its for?)

i have:

Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P6000UB
RCA: Monster Cables
Sub Amp: JL Audio 500/1
Sub: 12" L5 Kicker w/ ported Kicker built box
Highs Amp: Kicker Amp.. (dont know which..old model)
Highs: Infinity Reference
Battery: Yellow Top + Rockford Fosgate 1C

Settings on head unit:
- No bass boost
- EQ: 7Band..
First 3.. +2
Middle 3.. Going up slowly
Last... Pretty much all the way up.
- Highs: 125Hz ... (no bass from highs)
- Sub at (-8)bass... at about 80Hz.
- Loud: High

Pictures:

.... The settings on the 500/1 amp are

Right now the bass boost is at about 3 i believe... or slightly above midddle.. ON AMP.

just like some recommended on the website.. but it just sounds weird... the low/soft bass don't really hit very well and it just seems to hit really hard on the higher ones..

"Test" discs can be found at just about any place that sells CDs, and your Google search for CD test discs came up with 500,000 sites... http://www.google.com/search?s...discs

How to use the meter to set gain, set meter to AC volts, follow directions at JLs gain setting tutorial, it's pretty easy. 94
