Default Security System Help

I have a nice idea for a security system but im not sure if the even have one lie this. Here it is, a switch that shuts off the fuel, shuts off the battery, an alarm that goes off if anyone touches any part of the car, and it's all at the push of a button on a remote. So the alarm that goes off pages you to your remote, then you can hit the kill switch and battery switch, then run out from werever your at and confront the theif. The sensitive alarm w/pager should be enough to stop but then again depends how fast you can run. Any other suggestions would help, thanx.

You can add a switch to the power wire of any system that is used to start/run the engine. You don't want to use one on the battery because you have radio settings, clock, ecu memory etc that you want to always have power, not to mention that the alarm needs power. You do not need to wait for the alarm to trigger to use the switches to protect your car, just switch them off any time you leave your car. Paging alarms are common now. The type of sensing you describe (just touching the car) doesn't exist as far as I know, but if you can think of a way that touching the car sets a switch, you can invent it. I don't think you would want anything that prone to false alarms. The closest sensor I can think of to accomplish that goal is a motion sensor, which is my favorite and one of the most effective car alarm sensors.

If someone is stealing your car, you shouldn't have to run out and confront them to stop them from suceeding. That's the job of the alarm. I don't think it would be wise to confront a car theif as they are often more dangerous than a cornered animal. They could be desperate, armed, and high on drugs.

so i could setup a motion detector to page me when someone triggers it? the reason i would like to come out when my alarm goes off is because around here people dont even budge when a porch light turns on, or an alarm goes off. also if im inside the mall or somthing i would just come out and see whos messing with it. Its a public place so not much could happen, while at home i would come out with a dog or a weapon to scare them off.

You can just get a regular motion sensor that will trigger your alarm pager. It will go off anytime someone passes by your car so It may trigger alot of false alarms. Either way its good to have so you can know anytime someone is around your car.

The motion sensor triggers the alarm, the alarm pages you. You can add a motion sensor to any alarm.
