Default Security Install Questions

hey,

i am about to install a viper 790xv into my 1999 honda accord and i wanted to know when i'm using the HEAVY GUAGE RELAY SATALLITE it says not to use connectors like t taps or scotch locks, other than soldering is there anything else i can use to make the connection, also when you're loooking at wiring diagrams(like starter kill relay), when it has listed a wire going to ignition switch or ignition system, what wire do BOTH of them suppose to represent. thz

You can use a high-quality crimp connection. 3M makes good butt splices but the crimping tool makes all the difference. Here's an example:

As far as your wiring question...what wire on the 790 are you trying to connect?

The starter wire is the one you want to look for. It should be a black/white wire coming off the ignition switch (key cylinder). Before you cut it, test it with a digital multi-meter. It should show 12v+ as you're starting the car. Once the car is started, it will read 0. Then you can cut the wire and car shouldn't start. Now you can proceed with the relay install.

so basically what i do is...............(Ground when Armed already prewired in RELAY)>>>run wire coming from 86 to the 12V ignition, cut the starter wire and run it to 87A, and take the wire from 30 and connect it to the other end of the starter wire.
