Default Security advice

As I look with admiring eyes on my 2001 gs-r thinking to myself, "if I didnt own it, I'd want to" I come to the chilling realization that others may share my feeling, and may want to take my baby from me. Now to the point, If you would, what are the best security options out there, i've herd of kill switches and lojack as well as alarms, but how well do they work and how much do they cost? thank you for your advice.

A kill switch is more useful and cheaper than a club.

A club and a kill switch would be more expensive, but better yet. 94

I would use something to lock the pedals instead of a club on the steering wheel - it is too easy to remove the club.

In any case, more layers of security are always better regardless of what you choose. Even a car cover would help protect your car - thieves won't see it!

But as they say, if they really want your car, they will just tow it

The "Club" is a joke, It has been proven that it takes less than 10sec to cut/break a club....

Yup. Better to spend that $50 or so on a nice kill switch setup.

All you have to do is wire in a SPST 20amp switch (AutoZone, Radio Shack, etc..) into the fuel pump wire {yellow/green @ PGM-FI unit above the ECU location} and hide the switch. Thieves can try all day try cranking the car. Without fuel delivery from your in-tank fuel pump, you car will go NO WHERE!! Also, I would suggest using male/female spade connectors in case the switch goes bad...you will not be stuck. Make sure you don't get an illuminated one and that you don't go telling the whole world you have it in your car.

Excellent. Cant drive/start or whatever to the car. BUT they can still tow it. Kill switches are the best means of preventing theft, but, the best way to deter theft is to drive a buick.
