Hello everyone, I need some help on which cd deck to get. I want one that performs good for under 400$.
I heard alpine is really good, but dont know which one to get.
I also have 2 12inch sony xplod and 600 watt rockford fosgate amp sitting in my room, which my brother gave to me
Also, does anyone know where I can get one for the cheap? Is it cheaper to buy it at Circuit City or on the web? Need help, I am only 16 and have no experience in the sound world.

aight heres the beef, if your into cd burning, buy an mp3 deck, then you can put bout 10 hours of music on one cd. next just buy somethin youlike and by a reputable brand , like sony, rockford, alpine etc. and yes it is prob cheaper to buy from the web but then if you dont know how to install you need to bring it to best buy or circuit shitty and pay them like 50 bucks for the install, or buy it at one of those stores and as long as its over $100 they install it for free. cheers
well lemme just say i worked at best buy for 2 yaers and know all bout that, and im still getting everything professionally installed, amps are apain to install you need to run wires to all speakers, back of deck and battery, you could do it yourself but it will prob have wires hanging everywhere and look ghetto as hell, i think best buy charges 50 bucks per amp, 20 or 30 for subs and speakers, also you need to buy buy an amp kit thatll run ya about 50 70 bucks for all your wiring, it should also come with all the fuses, and i think thatll do it for ya

if your amp is 2 channel, you can only hook up speakers to it, like 2 6" and 2 6x9"s, if its 4 channel you can hook it all up to one, i personally am in the process of hooking up a 2 channel 500 watt for 4 speakers and a 760 watt 2 channel for my 2 10s. to get my 2 6x9s, 2 amps and subs, itll cost me about 150 for amp kit, and best buy is charging me like 150 for install, but if you have lots of power going to your system you could blow your alternator, im buying a 1 farad capacitor to safeguard myself, thats about 100 bucks

True, but experience is the best teahcer. My first head unit install I blew like 4 fuses and ended up spending 60 bucks to get it installed all because I tried to wire it up WITH the car on...I know I know dumb *** move, but now I can do a head unit in under an hour. My first amp install went smooth. I took my time and it looked awesome. Granted I was only runing subs so it wasnt hard to wire. I just cant see paying best buy/circuit city 60 bucks to wire up a head unit. They take the same adapter you can buy on ebay for under 10 bucks (which they charge almost 20 for) and wire it yourself in under 30 minutes. Everything is color coded. Amp wiring would be more difficult when wiring up front speakers to the amp, but pateince is key and you can save alot of money. By the time you spend 30-60 (or more) for a amp kit and THEn pay someoen 60 or so to put it in, you could have dedicated a couple hpurs of yuour day and do it yourself and maybe make the money back on the amp kit by doing other peoples installs who are too afariad to get down and dirty
