Default S2000 Stereo Problem

Since the stock stereos suck in S2000s, I'm sure most have replaced them with aftermarket. I just had Best Buy install a new deck, amp, and speakers in my 2003 S2K. When the car is not started, it sounds awesome. When the car is running, I get distortion and a 'whine' from the stereo. The sound gets worse as the engine revs. The technician says he tried everything (several components, running all wires out side the vehicle...nothing worked). He indicated that it is something in my car causing the problem. Any experience or advice?
thanks all
d

Take it back and tell them to re-ground the deck...or if you can do it yourself, do it yourself. But you did pay for "PROFESSIONAL" installation so they should do it for free.

yep usually caused by a bad ground in one of the components, more than likely its the amp they installed..
