RSX Spare tire Sub
It might be better to ask this question in the Audio/Security/Video forum. You will probably get more informative answers, or at least answers from people who like to do the same thing you do.

It's because it's a box that drops in and is moulded to the trunk so the sub fits in the rear tire well.
Chances are -- No, it will not fit. JBL makes stealth boxes for individual cars, and I am relatively sure they make one for 5th gen civics.

Chances are they go to either a factory amplifier or a factory preout in the stock radio.

Oh yes, haven forbid you put in a couple of pounds of better sound.

if you're into the best possible sound you'll end up adding considerable weight w/ deadening unless panels rattling is ok + you of course have a stereo that you do listen at considerable volume that can rattle door, trunk, etc. . I've got it everywhere other than roof. This cost me around 65 pounds....(2) 4' x 2' rolls, trunk kit, and door kit which I used for hatch.
weight is the least of concerns for those who want the best possible sound.

I'm not even into putting a full system into my car... just making it more comfortable and enjoyable. It doesn't need to be the fastest Civic out there or in my town or whatever.
So I just think it's silly to worry about every little pound.

Hell yeah, you see the die hard guys at the track that remove the total 4-5 pounds of rear seat to gain that extra mythical "1 sec in the quater".
I give it
