Default Removing Viper Alarm

I have a Viper alarm in my explorer that I am selling and I want to keep the alarm. How hard would it be to remove the alarm or should I pay someone to do it?

For an experienced installer it's not that hard. It also depends if crimp taps were used or if the connections were soldered (have to desolder).

What model Viper do you have? If it's one of the higher end models like the 800 or one of the paging systems, it would be worth to keep. However, if it's one of the lower end units it might not be cost effective to pay for a de-install and re-install in your new car.

working with de-installed stuff sucks in my opinion... it's just much easier to work with a brand new unit
