remote wire problem

Default remote wire problem

i have 2 amps one running my subs the other my 6x9 the ground wire that i have running from my stereo will turn on my sub amp but if i try and use it to power my other amp it dosnt work theo only way i got it to run was to run a wire from the battery to the 6x9 amp why would my remote wire just work on the one i had them both hooked up before but i have sence taken the stearo out and had to have it fixed and i ran a new remote wire

What ground wire from the radio?
Remote wire is a +12v low current lead. The amp needs to see 12v on the remote wire to turn on the amp. You shouldn't have ANY ground from the radio ran back to the amp.

So you have a remote wire coming from your deck and it turns on one amp, but when you hook the same remote wire to the other amp, it does not turn on?

right. another thing wierd is if i try and touch the remote wire contact of the amp that works with my tester it also turns off

umm...maybe the other amp needs more amperage. If your not wanting to change or fix anything, you could wire a relay.
