remote starter on a 93 integra
helping my buddy install a prostart remote starter/keyless entry into his 1993 integra and i'm having a problem with the lock/unlock wire colors. Most sources say the power door lock is black/white and the power door unlock is black/red. Other sources say lock is green/white unlock is green/red (thats how my 1995 civic was, i just did the same starter into my car). So i popped the door handle off and to check for myself, sure enough, one was green/white, one was green/red and one was black.
Only problem is, in the drivers side kick panel area theres a cluster of wires with 4 green/red wires (1 is a thicker one). I tried tapping into green/white wire for the lock from the prostarter and tapped into 1 of the green/red wires with the unlock from the prostarter, but the key less wouldn't work.
On my car, these 2 wires were cut and hooked up to my old alarm (which i took out when installing the starter b/c i was only using it for keyless entry) so i just hooked those wires up to the prostarter and it worked fine.
My question is, do i have to cut those wires and feed the end that goes TO the doors into the prostarter brain? Or can i just tap into the green/red and green/white wires?

Green/white and green/red is correct... http://64.85.6.121/diagrams/pr...eID=6 they can be found in either kick panel, harness comming from doors, they are type B, low current ground pulse, do not cut the lead, just "tap into" them.

BTW, you should be checking leads before you tap into them.

black/red, black/white is for 94+ Integras.
Pretty sure you have to have both the lock and unlock wires hooked up for it to work.
