Enough with the caps...

Sure it'll be loud... There. Are you satisfied?

it will be loud, assuming you don't mind listening to ever little thing on your car rattle...you might want to add to the list LOTS of sound deadening material

It can be loud, it depends on a few things, type and construction of box, mounting of the box, amp used to drive it, current available to the amp and signal to the amp.
If the above are done correctly, it will be LOUD, however SQ, [sound quality] is a different matter. 94

You lose hearing over time. Damage to your ears you do not notice right away. Go take a hearing test now, then in five years go back an take the same test. Guarantee you will have lost some hearing.

Typical bonehead response from a 17 year old...

I had loud systems in all of my vehicles when I was younger... Competition-level systems, not just a sub box thrown in the back, and guess what? I can't hear well in loud environments like an install bay with a compressor going, and I can't hear alot of people with lower-pitched voices very well...

As stated above... You WILL lose your hearing with an attitude like that...

Lots of rms = lots of current draw.

Your stock alternator is a 60amp I think. Ideally you need a 160 or 200amp.

You will probably kill the stock alternator you have if you're trying to pull that much current.

Technically speaking, in your situation a cap would probably do more damage than good.

Ditto that^^^

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 91EF919 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">really i was looking at a 10 farad stinger and ur saying that it would make it worse?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Just another load for the alt. to keep charged, and a big one.
Caps have their place, not in this case, not that cap, too big for the amp, 5 farads would be enough, but not without upgrading the alt.

Listen to your dad, he is correct, Ohio Generator makes one of the best I have used, very dependable, and very good customer service, even for us up here in Canada. 94
