Default Rear seat problems

I recently purchased a 94 teg and am trying to install a 6.5" comp set in the rear. My problem is the lever to fold the seat down on the driver side is broke off so I have no way of removing the trim panel there to remove the speaker and install the new ones. Does anyone know of a way to get the seat to fold down....Thanks

mm, not the teggies though, they had the levers that pull up and the seats fold down cause they're hatches, i think only the cars with the trunks had the things you could pull, i.e. accords, 2/4dr civic, preludes

Needle nose pliars? Pull the trim cloth off the back of the seat and look for the release mechanism.

Hmm... I didn't remove the whole panel. I just took out the speaker grill. You're talkin about the one just above the rear armrest, right? That's the setup in the GSR, at least. I replaced mine just fine with just removing the grill.
