Default Radio Problem need HELP!

I got a crx from a guy and he rewired the whole cd player. It works fine except for it doesent store any memory at all. When you start the car you have to manually get it out of demo mode every time and this gets annoying. Is there a wire that he may have not connected or connected wrong? This is in a 1991 crx. Thanks

No, it is just a blank screen, there is no power to it when the key is off

There are (or should be) two power wires going from the car to the radio. One is the "accessory" wire (usually the red wire on an after market radio), for actually turning the power on and off on the radio. This wire does not have power to it when the car is turned off. The other power wire is the "battery" or "memory" wire (usually the yellow wire on an after market radio). This wire has constant power going to it and is used for retaining settings in the radio, such as radio stations, EQ settings, etc.

It sounds to me like he either ran both power wires from the radio to the accessory wire in the car; or the "memory" power wire could be a fused wire with a blown fuse.

Hope that helps.

The stock radio harness has a 12V+ constant, [fused in engine bay fuse box in most Honda/Acura]...
As mentioned, "12v acc is yellow w/red 12v battery is white w/yellow (or blue)"

There is also a 12V+ constant free pin on the under dash fuse box, although with aftermarket HUs it is best to run the HUs constant power, [yellow] directly from the batt., run a fused 12ga lead from the batt. to behind the HU and connect the HUs yellow to it. 94
