Default Radio not working

Pretty simple, the radio I had in my carwould cut out every once in a while so I decided after 5 years the alpine should be replaced. I put in the new radio and got nothing, no power. I hard wired it to the battery and it worked so I know its not the radio. I even plugged in the old alpine and still got nothing where as it used to work for about 5 minutes or so and then cut off. I checked the fuse and its not blown. Also I pulled all the under dash wiring and dont see anything bad with it. Any suggestions are welcome, I gotta find a multimeter to check the wiring for sure but like I said it looks fine all the way back to the fuse box.

Have you hooked up your constant? Are you sure your connections are all good? What harness did you use? Did you buy a smart harness from Circuit City or did you actually hardwire it yourself?

The constant was hooked up
The connections are good, even the grounds
I used a smart harness from Circuit City, then I took it apart because the pins were falling out and hard wired it

Are you using stock speakers or aftermarket speakers?

There are two fuses you need to check, the radio acc. fuse in the under dash fuse box and the constant power fuse, in the engine bay fuse box, [probably a 7.5A]. 94
